How it works

A practical dumb phone without giving up your iPhone.

Voyager combines deliberate web access, optional Screen Time restrictions, and commitment delays. The goal is friction where you want it — not a phone that stops being useful.

1

Remove the apps that keep you scrolling.

Voyager does not block apps you keep installed.

Keep the apps that behave like tools. Remove the apps you do not want available all the time.

2

Close the easy ways back.

Device Protection uses Apple Screen Time.

When you enable it, Voyager can restrict supported routes to unrestricted browsing, including Safari and new app installs.

3

Use the internet deliberately.

Scan, Focus, or Emergency.

Scan opens QR-linked websites. Focus keeps chosen websites available. Emergency gives temporary broader access when the other two cannot complete the task.

4

Slow down weakening changes.

A momentary impulse should not instantly undo your setup.

Standard generally makes weakening changes wait 24 hours. Hardcore generally makes them wait 7 days. More restrictive changes generally take effect immediately.

Three ways to access the web.

Each one starts with a reason.

ScanOpen the web attached to the world around you. QR menus, parking, forms and check-ins.
FocusOpen websites you deliberately chose ahead of time.
EmergencyTemporarily access the broader web when Scan or Focus cannot complete the task.
In Scan and Focus, unrelated website navigation is blocked so one useful task is less likely to turn into aimless browsing.

Device Protection is optional.

Voyager uses Apple Screen Time only when you choose to enable Device Protection.

Hide unrestricted SafariMake the open web less immediately available outside Voyager.
Limit supported web routes in other appsSome apps contain their own browsers. Device Protection can restrict supported routes where iOS permits.
Prevent new app installsMake it harder to reinstall a browser or distracting app immediately.

Friction, not impossibility.

NOW
24 HOURS

Standard generally gives weakening changes a 24-hour delay. Hardcore generally extends that delay to 7 days. More restrictive changes generally happen immediately.

You still own your phone.

Voyager is a self-imposed system, not an irreversible lock.

The web,
on purpose.

Keep the useful parts of your iPhone without keeping unrestricted browsing permanently within reach.
